We found the spinning wheel, so we decided to try our snozzles at spinning! How hard can it be?
We all stood on the treadle and jumped up and down, and Ernest held the roving to spin it
The thread gets twisted from the roving, and goes up to the wheel…
And then it winds onto a bobbin, as it gets twisted into a thread.
Oh! Ernest! Let go!
Oh, no! Ernest, DON’T let go!
Oh my, oh Ernest, you nearly got spun!
Ernest needed a big hug after that. Just goes to show, you shouldn’t mess with equipment you don’t know!
